February 25, 2008 Grand Master’s Visit Catered Dinner

The Grand Master of Masons in Nevada, Honorable James E. Kelley had his Official Visit to Oasis Lodge Number 41 on February 25, 2008. A catered Dinner Buffet was the order of the day. Our meal was Chicken Fried Steak with Country Gravy, Ham, Mashed Potatoes, Mixed Vegetables and a Big Salad. Desert was all manner of Cheesecake.

Grand Master Kelley was presented with a gift from our Lodge. It was a handcrafted leather shoulder holster with the Masonic Symbol engraved in the basket weave.

I believe all of the Grand Lodge Officers were present with the notable exception of Grand Web Mason, Dale Porray, who has been in our thoughts and prayers.

Ten Past Masters were present: Mike Reinhardt, James H. Beggs, Joe Alvarado, Abe Velasco, Dan “Pix” Pixley, Scott Kelly, Bruce Nelson, David Laino and Ken Keil as well as Honorary Past Master of Oasis 41 in 2000, Peter Davidson.
